The Chinchillas

The Chinchillas are a family of chinchillas who debuted in the fanon episode "The Mess Busters" (JP: "Chinchilla Cleaners, Go!"). They own the Maple Town Cleaning Service, which, true to its name, provides cleaning for Maple Town's community. They are also close neighbors and friends to the Mouse Family, with their residence just nearby the Clock Tower/Windmill.

Nuclear Family

• Chester Chinchilla (JP: Morris Chinchilla) ~ The father in the family. When trying to clean his office, he ends up making a mess by accident, in which he desperately cleans up afterward. He would later be revealed to be deceased from an unknown cause, according to Cheryl in Maple Town: The Next Generation
• Charlene Chinchilla (JP: Lorraine Chinchilla) ~ The mother and the maid of the family's Cleaning Service. Whenever a house needs to be tidied, she always comes to help and does her best. She is very soft-spoken, but is loyal nonetheless.
• Chandler Chinchilla (JP: Landon Chinchilla) ~ The 8-year-old neat freak son. He attends Maple Town School and is an etiquette expert.
• Cheryl Chinchilla (JP: Edna Chinchilla) ~ The 3-year-old daughter. She is a fussy mother's helper and attends Maple Town Preschool.

Extended Family

• Chauncey Chinchilla (JP: William Chinchilla) ~ Chester's father and paternal grandfather of Chandler and Cheryl. He currently lives in the Maple Town Retirement Center. He has a passion for predicting dust storms. He also enjoys watching Western films.

Trivia

• When first conceived, they were originally a family of aardvarks as a coincidental reference to the Aardvark Cleaning Co. in Effort, Pennsylvania. Their names also originally began with the letter A to go with the alliterative name theme. However, they were changed to chinchillas with "Ch" names to fit more with their occupation and personality traits.
• There are no aunts, uncles, or cousins in the extended family (not counting generations preceding Chester and Charlene's), meaning that both parents were only children.
